Here are a few very simple steps you can take to fix the problem

1. Activate the “Airplane mode” or "Flight" on your computer or switch the internet off.
2. Once you’re offline, go to the Start menu and click the “Settings” option to enter the “Settings” window.
3. In the “Settings” window, choose the “System” option, then "Activation"
4. This will take you to the “Activation” window. Now, click on the Activation state entry. From here, click on the “Change product key” option.

5. This will open the “Product key” window. Enter the generic product key:

6. Once you’ve inserted the key and clicked the ‘Next’ button, the system will change your operating system edition to the inputted key edition. But keep in mind that these keys are only for evaluation purposes.
7. Now, you’ll reboot your system by going to the ‘Start menu < Power < Restart’ options.
8. After the system restarts, you will enter the legitimate product key of the Windows you´ve purchased.
